"Sometimes, you've gotta 'crack the whip'," he said to me. Little did he know, soon I would be catching that whip right from his grimy, disgusting hands.
I witnessed a girl in what would be considered to be less than appropriate winter clothing. Eavesdropping, I heard her talking about some male figure beating something.
Of course, God knew how to get my attention. She was cute.
I decided I would leave, already having finished my coffee and already late to things I needn't do, but I paused as I passed the girl.
"I'm sorry, but are you waiting for someone?" I asked.
"No," she said, smiling. I must've dressed well today, well done, Eric.
"If you don't mind me asking then, how did you get here?" I felt creepy asking it, but something about the girl told me she wouldn't mind.
"I biked," she said.
"Well you must've been pretty cold then, huh?" I paused and she laughed, "Would you like my jacket?"
"No, I couldn't, I'll be fine," she said, but I cut her off.
I smiled, "That's what I said too," I removed my jacket and placed it next to her on the counter she was sitting at. She smiled.
"Thank you," she said.
As I began to walk away, placing my thick beanie on my head, thinking of how her straightened hair was not nearly as thick as my bushy mop atop my head, and I ran back into the store.
To my utter bliss, she'd already adorned my jacket. She saw me coming back and smiled.
"Hey," I said, "I thought you could probably use this as well," I dropped the brand new hat I'd bought days ago next to her and she thanked me again, but her smile was all that I needed. The fact that within moments of me leaving she'd put on the jacket and the brilliant smile on her face and in her eyes was more than enough of thanks for me.
That was one or two days ago. I've lost track, as I tend to do.
Now my head was freezing. However, every time I remembered that girls smile, that's all I really needed.
Did it keep me warm? No. Did it make me feel like somehow, somewhere, at some point in time that girl will remember and pay it forward? Yes. That, my friends, is all that mattered.
Speaking of paying it forward, a lady stopped me while she was driving to work to ask me for cigarettes. I obliged, and she offered me money for them. I said, 'pay it forward'.
Who does that?
I just spent an additional thirty minutes completing a survey for reasons I'd rather not say. It involves F2PMMORPGS. If you don't know what that is, bless you. You have lived a full life.

I quit my job. Did I mention that yet? I have no idea. I'm supposed to be applying everywhere for a job, but here's the thing; it's bloody cold outside and I lack a vehicle.
Yes, yes, I'm making excuses. Excuses that won't cut it and I don't want to be homeless. Being an adult is awful. Responsibility is no fun. I ought to find a job I like. But what? What could I possibly like?
I have no idea. So I suppose I'll just start applying everywhere.
Sorry for the sh*tpost, everyone. It's been one of those weeks.
